Golden HSE - 2012

Tatiana Karabchuk has been nominated for this award in nomination “Alumni’s success in academic career”.

Tatiana Karabchuk, Deputy Director of the Laboratory for Comparative Social Research, has been nominated for “Golden HSE” award in nomination “Alumni’s success in academic career”.

Tatiana’s candidature was proposed by staff of the Department of Economic Sociology with the support of Academic Council of the Faculty of Sociologyfor her achievements in academic and administrative domain.

In 2003 Tatiana graduated from Department of Sociology of Higher School of Economics. She entered PhD program of HSE Department of Economic Sociology and started to work in the Center for Labour Market Studies as junior research fellow. In 2008 she defended thesis on “Non-permanent employment in the Russian labour market: economic and sociological analysis”. Since 2009 Tatiana has been teaching at the Department of Economic Sociology.

Since January 2011 Tatiana has been deputy director of the Laboratory for Comparative Social Research. In the Laboratory she conducts several research projects: «Career Fertility Combinations and Their Affect on Female Life Satisfaction» and «Social Well-being and Subjective Health of Part-timers and Self-employed».

Tatiana is the author of 30 publications, including 10 papers in English. During the last year three Tatiana’s articles were published in international peer-reviewed economic and sociological journals (Economic Sociology European Electronic Newsletter, Journal for Labour Market Research, European Journal of Comparative Economics)
