Natalia Soboleva, junior research fellow of the Laboratory, took the third place on analytical papers contest in the field of education on Pinksyi’s award.

Natalia’s article “Values and business ethics in perception of MBA students with different education strategies» was ranked third on the contest organized by the journal “Issues of education”.

The objective of the paper is to reveal relation between students’ strategies in business education and their value systems and orientation on ethical behavior. Natalia have conducted a survey of MBA students (222 persons) in three well-known Moscow business schools, collected data serves as an empirical base. Six groups of students with different education strategies (preferred capital mix) were pointed out. The students’ investment strategies are manifold but human capital accumulation is present in all of them. Perceptions of business ethics and value systems of students vary by six groups. It is shown that value systems of MBA students are relevant to modernization, whereas their orientations on ethical behavior are not so in line with modernization theory .
