Summer School on Eurasian Economic Integration
Anna Nemirovskaya, Senior Research Fellow at LCSR, supervised a group of participants and facilitated group discussions at the Summer School on "Eurasian Economic Integration: Priorities, Perspectives and Tools", held on 13–18 July in Moscow by the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) in collaboration with the Russian Council on International Affairs.
Anna Nemirovskaya, Senior Research Fellow at LCSR, supervised a group of participants and facilitated group discussions at the Summer School on "Eurasian Economic Integration: Priorities, Perspectives and Tools", held on 13–18 July in Moscow by the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) in collaboration with the Russian Council on International Affairs. Participants included 24 young professionals, scientists, journalists and other experts involved in the field of economic integration from Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, and Russia.
The School offered a rigorous curriculum of 16 lectures and seminars, analytical workshops in various formats, teambuilding and sightseeing activities, as well as a presentation workshop given by Alexei Kapterev, a distinguished business consultant. Panelists included Viktor Khristenko, Chairman of the Eurasian Economic Commission, Andrei Kortunov, Executive Director of the Russian Council on International Affairs, and several Heads of Department of the EEC.
In preparation for the final session, the three groups of participants aggregated their ideas about the development of the Eurasian Economic Union in a final memorandum which was presented during a public presentation, followed by a Q and A session with EEC experts and board members. "Within 6 days, our group has created 15 pages of solutions in 17 areas from sanitary regulations to macroeconomic policy," Anna Nemirovskaya said after the conference. "It was a fascinating process."
