Laboratory for Comparative Social Research (HSE) announces a call for associate senior researchers to become members of LCSR network as experts and at the same time as supervisors of the joint research project.

The LCSR aims at developing skills on empirical quantitative comparative (cross-country and cross-regional) studies in social science of young researchers in Russian and CIS countries, so we inviting and highly supporting initiatives from senior researchers to implement their projects together with young colleagues from LCSR network.

LCSR welcomes applications from senior researchers to conduct a project with maximum two young research fellows from LCSR network and present the results regularly at the LCSR international events (April workshop, summer school and November conference) and end up with a publication in peer-reviewed international journal within 1,5 year.

Senior researchers should have their PhD and be experienced in research for no less than 10 years. The applicants are supposed to submit a project proposal (research puzzle and motivation, goal, literature review, methodology and data, preliminary results and further steps) and present it within the 4^th LCSR Workshop in March 28-April 3, 2014. After the presentation they need to make a group with 1-2 young research fellows from LCSR network to work further on the project within next 1-1,5 years.

LCSR will cover the travel costs and provide accommodation for the senior researcher and one young research group member to present results at LCSR events (April workshop, summer school, November conference) and provide with one travel grant to present the project results at a conference (all over the world).

• Values, Trust and Attitudes
• Nationalism, Ethnicity and Migration
• Gender, Work and Life Satisfaction
• Religiosity and Tolerance

The application deadline for entering the LCSR network as senior researcher is February 15, 2014. The notification of acceptance will be given by February 18, 2014.
