The Happiness Compass: Theories, Actions and Perspectives for Well-Being

A new book edited by Francesco Sarracino

“The Happiness Compass: Theories, Actions and Perspectives for Well-Being” edited by Francesco Sarracino, an associate researcher at LCSR, was published by Nova Publishers
This book provides a reference tool to understand current developments in happiness studies. It provides an overview of the evolving body of happiness research and draws some of its future trajectories. This book collects the contributions of scientists from psychology, sociology, economics, political science and other scientific domains sharing the quest for improving people's quality of life. Building on this expertise, the book provides a compass to orient the reader in a burgeoning literature to document, inform and suggest ideas for future research.
Francesco himself wrote one of the chapters in the book, together with Stefano Bartolini. It is worth noting that three other LCSR associate fellows contributed to this volume. Malgorzata Mikucka wrote the Chapter 15 titled “The Well-Being Lessons on Employment”. Nadezhda Shilova wrote the Chapter 16, “How Politicians Exploit and Manipulate People's Perceived Well-Being to Win in the Political Arena and to be Elected”. Finally, Alexey Belyanin was one of the co-authors of the Chapter 17, “Determinants of Subjective Well-Being of Chronically Ill Patients: Theoretical Considerations and Some Empirical Results”
