Agenda for Comparative Social Research
On December 16, 2010, Laboratory for Comparative Social Studies hosted the international conference «Agenda for Comparative Social Research» in Saint Petersburg. The conference was devoted to the prospects of establishing an international research network. Its main feature will be comparative perspective.
On December 16, 2010, Laboratory for Comparative Social Studies hosted the international conference «Agenda for Comparative Social Research» in Saint Petersburg. The conference was devoted to the prospects of establishing an international research network. Its main feature will be comparative perspective.
Young scientists from different cities of Russia and CIS countries got the opportunity to speak at the conference.
Professor Inglehart explained the detailed principles for united research space in Russia and CIS. The data for World Values Survey is currently covering about 90% of the world's population. Indeed, the main idea of creating the WVS was the principle of openness and partnership instead of the classic university centers.
The final day of the conference started with a meeting of the young researches and with HSE professors Eduard Ponarin and Daniel Alexandrov. Everyone could get advice from professors and formulate final topic for their future projects.
