Anna Andreenkova Delivered a Report at the Eurasian Monitor Seminar

Her presentation opened the "International Social Studies" seminar.

On June 18th, the "Eurasian Monitor" launched its first seminar on the comparative social research. Anna Vladimirovna Andreenkova, PhD (Deputy Director, CESSI), delivered a presentation titled "Main Trends in International Comparative Social Research: Institutions, Projects, Methodologies."

Discussions covered the theoretical, methodological, and applied facets of comparative research, including study types, applications, and data sources. Key challenges raised involved the equivalence of measuring social phenomena and translation difficulties. Attendees also pointed out a notable paradox – widespread recognition of these methodological issues exists alongside a lack of published literature on them. The event ended by examining modern trends and future directions for comparative research across the post-Soviet space.
