Call for Research Assistants

Laboratory for Comparative Social Research (LCSR) in St.-Petersburg and in Moscow announces next call for applications to take a position of student-assistant on part-time basis (20 hours per week).
Eligibility: students (bachelor, MA and PhD) from sociological, political science and economic departments are welcomed. In case you are interested in comparative social studies using big data sets and want to learn much from leading scientists, work in the international and friendly environment this position is exactly for you!
The assistants are expected to work on collective LCSR projects, participate in the regular weekly LCSR seminars and in the international LCSR conferences, workshops, and summer schools as well as contribute to other things going on in the Lab. Students-assistants get full guidance in their own projects in case they want to have them. The core idea is to train them to be publishable and experienced in the modern quantitative methods used in social science with focus on comparative research.
