Visa Support

 
Foreign citizens, except those from Serbia and CIS countries, entering or leaving Russia need a visa. You can apply for a visa in the Russian consulate in your country of residence.

Invitation letter

If you are applying for a multiple-entry visa or if you are applying in one of the following countries: Switzerland, Sweden, and sometimes Australia, Japan, and Germany, it is required to provide an invitation letter in the set of application documents. If you need an invitation letter, please notify us when applying for the conference.

Migration card

From 25th November, 2002, all foreigners are obliged to fill in a migration card at the Russian border. It is obligatory to fill in the name and the address of the inviting organization. The card should be handed over to the custom officials at the border when leaving the country.

Please keep your migration card during your stay in Russia! In case of damage or loss of a migration card, a foreign citizen must notify the Russian Federal Migration Service (Pyatnitskaya str, 49, Moscow) within 3 days in order to obtain a copy.

Visa Registration

Upon arrival in Russia, you must register within 3 days. You can do so either in the hotel you are staying at or if you are staying in private accommodation you need to come to the HSE International Support Department (Myasnitskaya str, 20, office 538) with your passport and migration card. The migration registration procedure is free of charge.
